Brophy’s pitching, hitting enough to stun Corona

Coming into the baseball game Feb. 26, the Corona Aztecs were the defending 5A-1 State Champions, but after seven innings, the Broncos handed them their first loss since last April.

Junior pitcher Sean Maxon ’11 threw a complete game only giving up three hits and two walks on 83 pitches.

Besides those base runners, Corona would see no more action as Maxon struck out seven batters and added a solo homerun of his own to provide a bigger cushion.
