The team’s overall record this year is 16-2-1 and the team is gearing up for the state championships.
Head coach Mr. Marc Kelly ’87 was optimistic about the team’s performance and referred to them as a “well-oiled machine.”
“I thought the team approached Friday’s match against Deer Valley with tremendous speed, cohesion and great passion. We’re really starting to play well,” Mr. Kelly said.
The win capped a successful week of Brophy soccer.
“It was the end of a great week for the Broncos, beginning with our crushing of Chaparral on Tuesday night on the road…then a complete dismantling St. Mary’s Wednesday night,” Mr. Kelly said.
According to Mr. Kelly, the team is doing a lot of things well in gearing up for the state championships.
“We’re defending well, keying the ball out of our goal and absolutely crushing people with our offense,” Mr. Kelly said.
