The Bronco’s basketball team beat the Goldwater Bulldogs 72-24 in Friday night’s last home game of the season.

Right from the start, the Broncos made a point to get on the board outscoring the Bulldogs 22-3, with five points and three rebounds from James Harper ’12.

The Broncos continued on that path throughout the rest of the game.

Harper went on to hit three three-pointers throughout the game with a total of 13 total points and 3 rebounds.

Timothy Kempton ’13 contributed with eight points and four rebounds.

After the last home game of the season, head coach Mr. Tony Fuller seemed very optimistic about the team’s chances in the state tournament.

“As a team we have to be playing our best basketball, and we are doing that right now,” Mr. Fuller said

Mr. Fuller feels as though the aspect of playing as a team is the most important aspect of the game.

“We play as a team, we win as a team and we lose as a team,” Mr. Fuller said.

Although Mr. Fuller said that the team they played wasn’t the kind of team they will be playing in state, he was still very happy with the team’s victory.

The Broncos finished their regular season record at 20-6.

The Broncos will enter their sectional playoffs as a No. 3 seed and take on the No. 6 seed Mountain Pointe Pride Feb. 8.
