Long time C schedule finally changes

By Chris Stanek ’19

THE ROUNDUP

The longtime C Schedule changes to provide a new adjustable schedule that shortens classes and elongates breaks.

With this new change to the old C Schedule, students are enjoying the different layout of the classes and the longer breaks and lunches.

“I believe this new C schedule is fantastic and that classes do not seemed as cramped and packed together, which helps release a lot of stress, confusion and energy,” said Tim Cody ’19.

Kenny Fitzgerald ’20 believes the longer breaks help create a better mental focus in the classroom.

“I feel we’re able to recharge our batteries, so that when we are actually in class we can pay attention,” Fitzgerald said.

The difference between longer and shorter lunches is acknowledged by students throughout the different schedules.

But besides the difference between breaks and lunches, Brophy Senior Jake Longini ’18 believes that teachers would not be bothered by the new schedule, and think that it is fair.

“I feel sometimes the shorter periods cause the teachers to enjoy the breaks from their constant teaching, and that the new schedule is fair to the students,” Longini said.

Mr. Tony Oldani adds that the new schedule is just as appreciated by the teachers.

“The teachers dread the C Schedule just as must as the students do,” Mr. Oldani said. “But with this new schedule that provides longer breaks and lunches we can have more C schedules so that Brophy can do more masses and assemblies.”

The new C schedule now provides more opportunities to have more guest speakers, school assemblies, masses, and rallies.

Mr. Oldani believes that the increase of assemblies will embark new and creative ideas.

Fitzgerald, Longini and Oldani believe that this new C schedule will stay.

This change has affected students positively and now a C schedule is not as dreaded by students and teachers as it used to be.
