Cordova brings native spice to Spanish classes

New World Languages teacher Mr. Richard Cordova comes to Brophy with the task of making a difference in the lives of students by getting them to love the language of Spanish.

Mr. Cordova has been teaching for 14 years and he is currently serving his first year as a Brophy teacher, teaching Spanish 2 and Conversational Spanish.

Smith imparts alumnus wisdom to new students

“Mr. Smith is not as he seems under that cool, calm exterior,” Mr. Mike Nelson ’96 joked. “On the inside there is a crazy man. Dangerous.”

Mr. Nelson was referring to his fellow Brophy alumnus, Mr. Steve Smith ’96.

Mr. Smith said he became friends with Mr. Nelson, who now teaches at Brophy alongside Mr. Smith, while they roamed the halls of Brophy.
