THE ROUNDUP

Krishna Sinha ’18 has been involved with the arts here at Brophy for four years now and doesn’t look like he wants to slow down anytime soon.

Sinha started music in the fourth grade when his parents signed him up.

“My parents never got involved into the arts like I am, but ever since I did that piano class I’ve fallen in love with it,” he said with a smile.

Sinha doesn’t just love music, but poetry as well.

Mr. John Damaso 97’s English class sophomore year is when I really fell in love with writing poetry and reciting it,” Sinha said. “Mr. Damaso really helped me with everything and how to be a good writer.”

Sinha participated in Poetry Out Loud his freshman and sophomore years.“It was a very daunting experience but it definitely helped me feel comfortable performing and reciting my poetry out in public.”

Also, his poetry was featured along side Maya Angelou at this years opening assembly.

Writing poetry, reciting it, and playing piano are only a few things Sinha does.

He is very involved in the sciences as well. He loves working with new substances and possibly wants to do a double major with that and either music or art in college.

“I really want to do a double major in college. I’m looking at some schools but I’m not going to mention any names until I officially get accepted into the school,” says Krishna as he continues his college process.

One of Sinha’s main reasons for getting into poetry was Mr. John Damaso ’97. Here’s what he had to say about Sinha:

Krishna is such a hard worker and always made sure all the details and everything was in perfect order while writing essays, poetry, and short stories,” Mr. Damaso said. “I had the honor of having him during his time here at Brophy and he is truly a special kid.”

Sinha continues to strive in both the academics and arts at Brophy. He continues to improve his skills in science, playing the piano, poetry, and other arts as well as college approaches.
