Jon Ayna ’27, a student-athlete at Brophy College Preparatory and a Roundup staff writer. He has aspirations to play basketball at either Villanova or Kansas. When he was asked What’s one class of Brophy that has actually changed how you think, Ayna responded, “Probably economics class with Mr. Oldani. Because he opens my eyes to the real world stuff and he talks about how people can make money and how money works and the supply and demand of things it is all just pretty important.” Ayna feels the Brophy Brotherhood even when he leaves Brophy, “When I was in New York City that I was, like, eating at a restaurant, and I was wearing a Brophy shirt and this random guy went up to me and started talking to me about Brophy” said Ayna. Ayna has also said one of the best mistakes he made a Brophy early on was getting “like 30 JUGs.” He found good in receiving a JUG and says, “It’s just like the connection you can build with somebody through that.”
