The Brophy track and field team will use the Brophy Sports Complex for the first full season, after only using it for a few months last April after the grand opening.
“With the new track facility we can train more consistently and more specifically on all our events,” said Mr. Bill Kalkman, head of the track and field program.
The team will host their first home invitational March 11.

What is your favorite place that satisfies your hunger after a long day hitting the books at school?
Most answers would be a restaurant that has fast-food, or an establishment that pretends to have a healthy menu.
Be not afraid, healthy food does not necessarily mean tasteless food.

“Food: From Farm to Table” is this year’s Summit on Human Dignity theme and is expected to raise awareness and consciousness for the student body with regards to sustainable food intake and production.
To be more specific, the intake portion of the Summit concerns nutrition and what foods are good and bad for us. Production is about where food comes from, and how it gets to our table in addition to who has access to food.
The Summit will run from Feb. 28 to March 11.

It is late at night, and you are just starting an essay due the next morning, but your buddy just sent you a hilarious video on YouTube.
All of a sudden you are caught in the endless list of “other viewers watched this.”
One, two and then three hours fly by.
At some point or another, many students, including myself, have experienced this awful situation to some degree.

The automotive industry has changed significantly in the past decade, finally gearing automobiles to fit the “green” movement in today’s world.
No, this is not another article demanding that you must reduce greenhouse gases by driving your gas guzzling vehicle less, nor that you should drive small clown cars.
In fact, this is to suggest an alternative to hybrids if the Toyota Prius is not your style.

If someone were to mention the name Father Sullivan, would you be able to put this name with a face?
Even though he has been at St. Francis Xavier church and part of the Brophy Jesuit community since 2003, his work with Brophy has been largely out of student’s eyes.
In 1960, Fr. Daniel Sullivan graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep in California (one year ahead of Fr. Eddie Reese, S.J.) and entered the Society of Jesus that same year.
