THE ROUNDUP
Student Council jumped into the new school year with the Frosh Mixer and a Friday Night Lights following the first football game of the season.
Nate Sundermier ’12 spearheaded this year’s Frosh Mixer.
Sept. 10 marked the official end of this year’s Student Council sponsored Magazine Drive.
As with previous years, student participation could have been better.
A little more than 400 students, or about one-third of the student body, submitted a magazine form.
Kudos to these students for raising about $16,000, which is about twice as much as the previous year’s total.

THE ROUNDUP
Last year Student Council brought students to a tropical island for Homecoming, but this year they have a different idea in mind.
Homecoming this year is going to be themed “Wild Night in the West.”
Junior Jobert Adan recently produced this video about Brophy student activities for Student Council. The video debuted during Freshman Orientation Wednesday, Aug. 11.
There is no doubt the seniors this year will be missed, a sentiment made even more apparent when looking at the current student council.
Who will be able to pump up the student body quite like Bryce Muzzy ’10? Who will set up all the technology before the dances like Eric Huso ’10 has done for years?
While these students will be missed, their departure means that Brophy must find new leaders in the form of the student council elections.
The hum of slot machines, the clink of poker chips, the buzz of students as they hope for raffle prizes; these are the sounds of Brophy’s Casino Night.
This late-night event took place on Thursday Oct. 8, in the Great Hall from 8 to 11 p.m.
