It’s that time of year again, the time when we are settled in to school, break out the fall colors and indulge ourselves with the plethora of pumpkin flavored seasonal sweets.
But with fall also comes a new lineup of television, and this fall’s array of shows seems very promising in its early weeks.

Amidst a sea of reality TV shows and stale comedies, one show stands out.
“Louie,” a show about the life of comedian Louis C.K., is one of the funniest and most insightful shows on television.
At almost any given time, you can turn on your television and find a reality TV show.
Reality shows are a creating a fortune for their producers, sponsors, networks and anyone who has a stake in the programs’ creation.
Reality TV is taking over networks, polluting its viewers’ minds and absorbing their lives.

Spotted: Brophy students watching “Gossip Girl.”
“Gossip Girl,” a TV program profiling the lives of Manhattan’s wealthiest adolescents, has entered its fourth season on the CW while captivating the interests of viewers as well as many members of the Brophy community.
This TV show was based on books written in the early 2000’s by Cecily von Ziegesar and was turned into a TV series in late 2007.

Being a fan of NBC’s Thursday comedy lineup of shows, it was a no brainer for me to watch the premiere of the network’s newest addition, “Outsourced.”
After watching the pilot of this show that stands next to powerhouses like “30 Rock,” “The Office” and second-season “Community,” it seems like the sitcom will come together slowly but surely.
The comedy, featuring newcomer Ben Rappaport, Diedrich Bader and Rebecca Hazlewood, is worth spending 30 minutes watching.
