THE ROUNDUP
Taco Bell is celebrating the release of the Taco Tuesday trademark by funding up to $5 million of the nation’s taco desires in partnership with DoorDash on Tuesday, September 12.
A one-day celebration is not the only exciting result of the release of the trademark. Taco Bell is also giving out free Doritos Locos Tacos every Tuesday between now and Sept. 12. In addition, any local Mexican restaurant in partnership with Taco Bell will also be providing free tacos on the 12th as long as the order is placed through DoorDash.
Taco Bell said they hope this will spread the joy of Taco Tuesday and create a new Taco Tuesday-loving age for anyone who wishes to indulge. “Taco Tuesday belongs to all who make, sell, eat, and celebrate tacos, and this Free-For-All will not only thank taco fans who supported the cause but will also spotlight local restaurants and vendors who can now embrace Taco Tuesdays without fear of legal action,” said Taco Bell U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Taylor Montgomery.
