“Chronicle”

“Chronicle” was an okay movie showing a new perspective on superpowers.

The movie starts off with Andrew Detmer, a loner who always recorded every situation he went through in an expensive camera. This becomes the point of view in the movie.

The basic life of Andrew was very tough, where he went through bullying and abuse from his father.

Things change when he and a friend encounter a mysterious object, and after they each receive telekinetic powers.

Throughout the movie, they experiment with their powers for their own pleasure.

But later on, Andrew becomes more abusive of his power since he knows how to use it the best compared to his friends.

Some things that I found about the movie “Chronicle” were that it was somewhat confusing.

There are some parts where the characters in the movie did the opposite of what I expected they would do, which seems to give a twist to it but also makes it very confusing.

Also the movie just ends; it has no real final action and I expected more to happen.

I would say that the movie was pretty creative with the idea though of trying to see what the outcome would be if teenagers had some sort of superpowers.

Also, they seem to accurately predict what would happen if this actually happened by showing this from an abused kid’s perspective and a cool kid’s view.

In the end, I thought the movie was a good concept but really needed more explaining to it.

I would recommend watching this movie if you are really interested in seeing the potential consequences of teenagers having super powers.
