THE ROUNDUP
The first “Exam Cram” will take place both Monday, Dec 17 as well as Tuesday Dec, 18 in both the Harper Great Hall and the Information Commons.
Organizers said Exam Cram is a Brophy event that should incorporate the fun of Friday Night Lights with the helpfulness of a study session in which teachers will be around for questions about finals.
“It is a win, win, win and win, because you are able to learn as well as have fun and win prizes,” said Student Council member Jeff Bennett ’13.
The event will be around two and a half to three hours long right after school each day and will be split into three parts.
On Monday part one will consist of English and World Language, part two will cover science and social studies and part three will cover math and religion. Whatever part is taking place will determine which teachers are available.
Tuesday will be the same setup except the parts will be in reverse order.
“It blends the spirit of the campus brought to life this year by the Red Army with the primary focus of the school, academic achievement,” said Director of Student Activities Mr. Tony Oldani. “My hope is that is creates a forum for students and teachers to work together in a casual environment.”
The Harper Great Hall will be utilized as a place to meet with teachers, while the Information Commons will be a quiet place for review.
To add a twist to a basic study session student council is offering prizes for students.
After each session on both Monday and Tuesday there will be raffles that will include prizes such as $50 Visa prepaid cards, Beats Headphones and PlayStation Vita devices.
