Karter Chamblin ‘30, a freshman at Brophy, is immediately stepping into a role on the varsity football team while also being heavily recruited by multiple division one colleges throughout the United States.
The 6 ‘2, 180lb freshman from Phoenix, Arizona is already starting for Brophy’s varsity football team at the wide receiver role. Brophy does not easily allow freshmen to start on varsity, but his talent on the field was too undeniable for the coaches to resist bringing him up.
Chamblin had 3 catches for 46 yards in his first high school action as he looks to improve on that noting, “I feel like I could’ve gotten a little bit more, my goal is to average 60 yards a game, and if I can get to that I’ll be good.”
Chamblin is the newest of many Brophy wide receivers to come through the program. He will follow in the steps of names like Devin Fitzgerald ‘26, Daylen Sharper ‘26, and Devon Allen ‘13. “Devin, I got to know for a little bit, so it’s good. He’s a great player and I model my game after him just a little bit. It’s going to be a great opportunity for me to fill in that spot.”
Chamblin is currently being recruited by D-1 schools like the University of Arizona, University of Florida, and UCLA. Chamblin is now on track to be the next great Bronco to play at the collegiate level at wide receiver.
