It’s no shame that I love Tina Fey, her work on “Saturday Night Live” and later her own series “30 Rock.”

I love her cynicism and outlook on life that translates into her new show on Netflix “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.”

In “Unbreakable,” Fey continues her unique style but this time from behind the camera taking the role of writer and producer.

Fey’s show revolves around a 29-year-old woman, Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper), who is recently rescued after 15 years of captivity in a doomsday cult led by the insane Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (John Hamm).

The show follows Kimmy as she adjusts to normal life and in the process moves to New York.

The acting as whole benefits from an excellent cast.

Kemper and “30 Rock” alum Jane Krakowski have perfect chemistry and comedic time.

Kemper exemplifies a happy go-lucky characters, which perfectly resembles the tone of the show.

Overall, Kemper’s performance fits well and is the best out of the cast.

The show’s tone is really interesting as it has this “30 Rock” charm which probably stems as the show was originally picked by up NBC but later sold to Netflix.

Netflix is really an angel; it saved a fantastic show with unique and witty writing and an all around solid cast.

This show is so good I can’t even name a favorite episode, but one standout is “Kimmy Makes Waffles.”

The episode is the season finale and documents Kimmy trying to save the Reverend’s trial which to this point is a disaster

The scene steeler for this one goes to Tina Fey and Jerry Minor’s inept prosecution attorneys whose incompetence is beyond hysterical. It’s just real knee slapper comedy.

Seriously, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schidmit” is just too funny for words.

It has a unique comedy and a happy tone that the cast exudes.

For this reason, this show gets a 9.5 out of 10.
