Volleyball falls short at state, ends season in second place

THE ROUNDUP

In an intense game, volleyball fell to Hamilton in the state championship Saturday, May 16.

After swapping sets twice, it came down to the fifth set. With the score tied at 11-11, Hamilton scored two straight points to lead 13-11 and Brophy could not recover.

Hamilton then scored a winning point to end the set with a score of 15-12 to take home the championship.

Volleyball finished 43-3 overall and state runner-up.
