THE ROUNDUP
New student-led service organization Brophy buildOn, the first Arizona chapter of the nationwide buildOn, will host its first Sweet Tomatoes Fundraiser Thursday, March 8 from 5-8p.m.
BuildOn, whose mission is breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations around the world, partnered with the restaurant in order to raise funds for global education.
The club will also be doing many charitable activities, which include a trip to Central America this summer in order to help those in need.
The event will be at the Sweet Tomatoes on Camelback Road across from Brophy as well as Desert Ridge, with more locations yet to be announced.
Brophy buildOn members will begin handing out fliers at the start of next week, which need to be turned in by March 8 for buildOn to receive the funds.
The organization encourages all Brophy students, faculty and staff to come and support them as they try to raise funds for global education.
