‘Get Out’ — Starring Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Catherine Keener

Daniel Kaluuya stars as Chris Washington in the new critically acclaimed feature film “Get Out.”

I first heard about this movie when someone told me that it was going to become our generation’s “Pulp Fiction.”

Although that may have been a bit of an exaggeration, it was still one of the best movies I have seen in recent memory.

This movie was the first film directed by Jordan Peele, co-creator of popular Comedy Central show “Key and Peele.”

I was incredibly curious to find how the creator of a comedic sketch show was going to direct a horror movie and it blew by all of my expectations.

Although it was labeled as a horror film, Peele was able to add comedic relief in pivotal parts of the plot.

Chris Washington is a black man visiting his girlfriend’s white parents.

“Having already worried that the parents might be racist, Chris is disturbed to find that the seemingly-liberal family has a number of black “servants” who behave like zombies, seemingly controlled and manipulated by an unseen force,” said Newsweek’s Victoria Anderson,

After his suspicion comes to fruition, he has to do everything he can to “get out.”

Daniel Kaluuya delivered a terrific and suspenseful performance as Chris Washington and supporting actress Allison Williams who plays Rose Armitage is stunning in the movie as she leaves the viewers questioning her character up until the very end.

The film provided a dystopian portrayal of modern racism as Peele left the viewer without any idea of what was going to occur next.

Overall, I’m going to have to agree with the critics at Rotten Tomatoes as the gave this film a rating of 99 percent.

I would certainly believe this movie deserves at least a 9 out of 10.
