Dominic Decio ’28 fills a lot of roles around Brophy. As the social media editor for the Roundup, a Chill Patrol captain, an Eagle Scout, a Key Club member, and a tennis player, Decio has built a strong reputation for being involved in his community.
A heavy commitment to service runs deep. Decio credits his mother for instilling that community volunteering mindset in him. “I’ve always volunteered since I was young,” he said, recalling his involvement in Boy Scouts and consistent community involvement.
Decio is originally from Kalamazoo, MI, and is the oldest of three siblings. In Arizona, Decio has leaned into Brophy’s culture of always being involved and has inherited his family’s strong academic ambition.
He has set his sights on attending the Catholic University of Notre Dame and plans to pursue a career in law. Decio said, “Being a lawyer. That’s the only thing that’s on my mind right now.”
Outside of school and volunteering, Decio keeps things simple. Golf and quality time with friends help to provide balance to his busy schedule.
This year, he looks to make a big impact on The Roundup by pushing social media content in new directions. With more frequent posting, Decio looks to help expand The Roundup’s overall presence.
