THE ROUNDUP

One of the top football recruits in the nation for long snapping, Ross Reiter ’18, has just committed to Colorado State University in the class of 2022.

Reiter’s football career started in 7th grade, and he immediately began as a long snapper.

“I was very motivated to play because of my older brother Donald Reiter ’16,” Reiter said. “He plays for the University of Arizona right now and it looks like an awesome experience.”

Through working with a private coaching organization, Chris Rubio Long Snapping, Reiter has gained publicity and many college offers from around the country.

Rubio Long Snapping is an organization that hosts long snapping and kicking skills camps around the nation.

“I had been talking to quite a few universities from around the country before I committed to CSU,” Reiter said. “Some of the big ones include Michigan, Naval Academy and Rutgers.”

A big impact on Reiter’s career has been the coaches at Brophy, working with Rubio and getting publicity to be recruited.

Reiter’s teammates and peers agree that he is a very hard working player and motivates the team.

Carson Kurtz ’18 said that Ross is a very motivating person on the field, as well as on social media and in the public light.

“I played with Ross freshman year and he was an obvious presence on the field,” Kurtz said. “Now, I see him being recognized by many programs across the nation on Twitter and other social media and it is awesome to see.”

Reiter’s Twitter is full of content that is lifting up teammates and being grateful for his athletic scholarship offers.
