Dominic Decio ’28 reflects and anticipates his Brophy career
Diego Alejos ’27
While reflecting on his Brophy career so far, Dominic Decio describes how sports and classes have formed his journey thus far, while also talking about the years ahead in his career.
Tennis is one of Decio’s passions. He played throughout his freshman year and looks to return to the team and continue his career as a sophomore.
From an academic perspective, though he hasn’t taken many classes during his time here at Brophy, the one that has fascinated him the most was his AI class that he took last year.
“I mean, I like writing, but I find AI more interesting just because, all this stuff we can do, you know?” said Decio ’28.
Decio also talked about how past events and eras of his life have shaped who he is now. When asked about a certain period of his life that he’s like to redo, he shared,
“I’d like to do it over, you know? It’s not personal. The teacher sucked and then, I don’t know, it just felt like a long year:” Decio ’28 said.
Decio has only competed 25% of his high school career, but with reflection on his past, and his eyes on the future, he awaits his journey ahead at Brophy.
