THE ROUNDUP
Over the Easter break, Brophy got to work on maintenance of the underground well on campus.
According to the Brophy website, the system was in worse shape than expected and maintenance might not be completed by the time classes are set to resume on Tuesday, April 26.
Brophy uses its own well to supply water to campus rather than using municipal water. Several days before break, the Graham Plaza was partially fenced off as preliminary stages of the maintenance project began.
In an e-mail sent out to the Brophy community over the Easter weekend, students and their parents were informed that a decision would be made by 4 p.m. on Monday, April 25 as to whether or not school would be cancelled on Tuesday.
Due to the proximity of AP tests, some classes will meet on Tuesday regardless of whether school is closed for the rest of students.
For the list of classes that will meet on Tuesday as well as the schedules for those classes, visit the Brophy website at http://brophyprep.org/.
Several other events scheduled for the upcoming week also had to be rescheduled as a result of the maintenance problems.
The Frosh Grill, Senior Heritage Dinner and volleyball games all had to be rescheduled or relocated due to the delay.
