THE ROUNDUP
Water remediation and construction crews wrapped up work at Eller building over the weekend following a flood caused by a broken water heater.
The water heater, located in a third floor maintenance closet, ruptured Thursday, Aug. 2 after the building had been locked for the day. Maintenance members discussed the flood early the next morning.
The water spread across the third floor, including the band room, before flowing into the second and first floor.
After the water was discovered, remediation crews were replaced drywall and flooring to repair the damage, a process that did not affect the starting date of the school year.
