Costly comedy cast shadow over issues in Congress

The doors of Congress opened Sept. 24 to Stephen Colbert, a major comedian on Comedy Central.

Colbert testified on the current situation of migrant farmers, and how our economy can’t survive without them.

“I don’t want a tomato picked by a Mexican. I want it picked by an American. And sliced by a Guatemalan, and served by a Venezuelan, in a spa, where a Chilean gives me a Brazilian wax. ” Joked Colbert as he pointed out how integrated migrant workers are in our society.
